How your data is handled

By default, nothing is saved. If you're not signed in — or you are signed in but haven't turned on saving — your story exists only for this conversation and disappears when you close the tab.

If you sign in and turn on "Save my reads," here's exactly what gets kept: a short, name-free summary of your side of things — what you felt, the themes that came up, your own actions, and what might need to shift. We deliberately do not keep anything about the other person — no direct quotes, no characterization of them, nothing that could read as a profile of someone who never consented to being described. The people you tell us about are stored only as a label you choose (like "my brother" or "Dana at work") — never a real name.

"Save my exact words" is a separate, additional choice — off by default even if "Save my reads" is on. If you turn it on, we also keep the literal text you typed, encrypted, so you can come back and re-read a past conversation. You can delete any single saved conversation's exact words at any time, without affecting anything else — or delete everything — your summaries, your saved words, your whole account — permanently, from Settings.

Sensitive saved text is encrypted. This is a test version, not a finished product — our data practices may change as we learn, and we'll tell you directly if something meaningful changes. This notice describes what we actually do, not a legal certification; a full privacy/legal review is still in progress before any public launch.
